MASUMI 2006 Montréal 4min DV
with Masumi Kobari and Alex de la Cruz
An author is looking for his muse, between dream and reality.
Note : Modest homage toWong Kar Wai .
Directed for the Montreal literature festival in 48 hours.
I had just met Alex de la Cruz and Masumi was a friend with who i wanted to make a film.
My vision was about 2 characters unable to meet , like in « In the Mood for Love » , this film should have to have a link with the literature too, so he would be an author like in « 2046 ».
We worked closely together with the DOP, Eric Gauvin, Each shot was discussed,analysed, improved, i still thank my actors for their patience and in particulary Alex who took a cold bath at 4 in the morning.
