Fort to Get New Statues
I know many of you tossed and turned all night, wondering about the big John Baird-Mark Warawa announcement in Fort Langley (which we blogged about earlier this week). Your wait is over... according to The Langley Advance, the environmental duo announced a $200,000 federal grant to erect five statues at the Fort Langley National Historic Site. The statues will recognize the contributions of First Nations people, of women and children, and of the fur trade and salmon fishing industries. ...
