Cops beef up Commercial Drive beat
Theft, drug dealing plague areaMike Howell, Vancouver CourierPublished: Friday, May 30, 2008Commercial Drive residents will notice police walking a beat this Sunday and the addition of security guards to a community that is experiencing a nagging crime and drug dealing problem.The Vancouver Police Department will deploy two teams of four officers each to patrol a stretch along the Drive's corridor from 3rd to 12th avenues.
