PoCo Mayor Pleads Guilty to Battering Ex-Girlfriend and Partner

METRO VANCOUVER - Port Coquitlam Mayor Scott Young has pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend Colleen Preston and her new boyfriend.
Young pleaded guilty in Port Coquitlam provincial court today to the assaults which occurred on April 4, 2007 at his former girlfriend's home.
He also pleaded guilty to breaching an order to stay away from her.
The crown stayed charges of criminal harassment, breaking and entering and two additional charges of breaching an order to stay away from Preston.
