Electric cars legalized

Electric vehicles became legal on Oak Bay's streets yesterday.

The municipality became the first in Canada to allow the innovative zero-emission, battery-powered vehicles on all its streets. But drivers should be prepared to park at the Saanich and Victoria borders when they leave Oak Bay. Other municipalities haven't allowed the vehicles on their streets yet.
