Second Murderer Escapes From BC Prisons- For the second time in 11 days a convicted killer has escaped from a minimum-security jail in B.C.
Seventy-three-year-old Ralph Whitfield Morris walked away from a facility near Agassiz, in the Fraser Valley, where he was serving a life sentence for murder, as well as a term for armed robbery.
Police say Mr. Morris doesn't have any clear ties to B.C. and may be travelling east.
On April 19, convicted killer and rapist Blane MacDougal escaped from the Ferndale Institution near Mission.
The 62-two-year-old started serving a life term in 1969 for charges including non-capital murder, indecent assault, sexual assault with a weapon and kidnapping.
Corrections Canada has said Mr. MacDougal is considered a low risk to the public, which was why he was at a minimum security facility.
