From CBC: Nickelback's Chad Kroeger must pay a $600 fine and is prohibited from driving for one year for a 2006 drunk-driving offence, a judge said Thursday morning in Surrey, B.C., during a court appearance by the group's lead singer.
Kroeger, whose real name is Chad Turton, was pulled over for speeding in his Lamborghini in June 2006 with almost twice the legal alcohol limit in his system.
The tall, blond singer, wearing dark sunglasses and a three-quarter-length black coat, choose not to speak during his sentencing, but said a few words afterwards as he stepped out to a waiting car.
"I don't condone drinking and driving. I don't think you should do it and everybody makes mistakes," said Kroeger.
Yeah, Chad mistakes like Nickelback's music.
