A man on the B.C. RCMP's most-wanted list of car thieves has been arrested in an undercover operation.
Undercover officers acting on a tip arrested Jason Daniel Marshall without incident in an apartment in the 7400 block of 14th Avenue in Burnaby around 4:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Marshall, 32, was on the Mounties' list of most wanted for car thieves for 2008.
He has a lengthy history of criminal activity, including 19 convictions since 1999, said Sgt. Gord Elias of the Integrated Municipal Provincial Auto Crime Team.
Marshall was last convicted in 2005 for numerous car thefts and sentenced to 1,031 days in jail, Elias said in a release Friday.
He was released on parole in October 2007, and has allegedly re-offended, Elias said.
He was wanted for revocation of his parole and six other auto theft warrants and a warrant for possession of break-and-enter instruments in Vancouver.
Police are considering laying numerous charges against Marshall, Elias said.
