NPA mayoral nominee Peter Ladner extended an olive branch to Gregor Robertson after the NDP-MLA captured Vision Vancouver's nomination.
“I look forward to the upcoming campaign and to the free and respectful exchange of ideas and perspectives,” Ladner said in a media release.
Robertson won 3,495 of 6,771 votes cast at yesterday's Vision nomination meeting.
Coun. Raymond Louie placed second with 2.244 votes followed by Al De Genova with 981.
“Members of Vision Vancouver had to choose from three qualified candidates, each of whom would present a defined candidacy for voters in the upcoming election,” Ladner said.
Apparently Ladner is eager to suss out Robertson.
“I haven't had the opportunity to work with Gregor Robertson in the past, but I appreciate the mix of business and provincial political experience he brings to this race,” he said.
