Gillis Might Clean House

New Canucks GM Mike Gillis pulled no punches when describing how he was going to make our much-obsessed about and much-loved hockey team get over that hump into the NHL elites.
The basic idea is that no one is safe in his assessment of the team going into the draft, over the summer and into free agency. I think this approach is right, but there are cornerstones that we have to protect here. Such as :
Roberto Luongo - Best goalie in the world, got him in a steal of a trade
The Sedins - Too much time and money invested to jettison them when they seem to be peaking
Willie Mitchell - Hometown boy, Cornerstone of the D, and captain once Naslund gets out of town.
Now past this, I can't make solid arguments for keeping anyone, and can even outright argue for someone's dismissal, like Markus Naslund. He gave a lot to this city, but always seemed to crumble under pressure, and was never the same without Bertuzzi here. If he wants to stick around, fine, but it better be for about 1/3 of what he made last year.
Brendan Morrison is the same. The NHL's former Ironman was crippled last season with 2 seperate but equally serious injuries, that kept him out of the good majority of games. Even if he proves he is healthy, how effective was Morrison for the money he was being paid? He also was never the same once Bertuzzi packed his bags outta this town.
We clearly need an overhaul, but there are dangers of taking a rebuild too far, and giving up Luongo, the Twins, or Willie would be crossing that line, in my belief. Any differing opinion
